Must we resort to cheap shots? I've personally met and done business 
with the guy, and I take exception to the insinuation that he's some 
sort of heartless mercenary.

I also wonder what tiny percentage of Hammonds ever end up chopped. 
I'm sure a much much larger fraction die of neglect.
