[HAM] I'm With Himjoe d joedoria at hotmail.comMon Jul 2 21:03:45 CDT 2007
Oh man, no worries at all. I had to assume the "evil" thing was more tongue in cheek from the get go - hence my reply (get it looked at ;) I got no problem with ya. The same can't be said about a certain other...but even then it's just simple point/counter-point. That's as far as it can go. I guess I replied in hopes that you (anyone reading the topic) would REALLY think about it before diving in with suggesting/endorsing or completing a chop. I repeated the same words because seeing a slew of emails in support of chops, or posts that read more like ads to 1 stop chop as in Johns recent...maybe new eyes will catch the facts and reasoning as to why we should protect the orig hammonds. inserting these words within a stretch of chop posts can work wonders. Remarks like "go save a whale/turtle/etc..", blah-blah don't bother me. People with this mentality will probably never understand - especially when there's a new avenue for quick $ to be made. I was trying to find out the prices of his 3-series Hammonds and where he's located (but...no reply of course. Did he ever send that info? Strange, I thought selling Hammonds involved selling Hammonds). I could certainly try and find them homes with musicians who appreciate them in their original state. I suspect however that those Hammonds, if they exist, were probably priced to chop (priced so that sale is rather unlikely iow), then bye-bye it goes to the buzzsaw and a higher ticket price. BTW: whales can reproduce...our orig Hammonds (usually) cannot ;) It's all good, I have no intention of arguing this on and on. K? JD >Joe, > >First, I apologize for my STUPID word choice.
