[HAM] Beverly Sills

Funny, but I met Beverly Sills three times - once when I was working as a  
parking valet at Canlis restaurant in Seattle (I was a freshman at the UW at the 
 time), once when I was staying in New York at the Waldorf, and once at the  
Beverly Hills (jeez - that looked rather odd when I typed that out -- Beverly  
Hills/Beverly Sills) Hotel.  It was very strange that I would have run into  
her three times - the second time she said she remembered having met me in  
Seattle, the third time she called me by my first name when she first saw  me.  
Everytime I met her, I came away feeling that I had a just renewed an  
acquaintance with a long-lost friend.
 
I think I saw her playing piano one time during a 60 Minutes interview or  
during a PBS special.  I wonder if she ever touched a Hammond.  She  seemed to 
have a very wide appreciation for all types of music and  musicians.  She was a 
very kind soul and definitely will be missed.
