hahahaha! In a nutshell, afghans are made of yarn, usually by the process of quilting or crocheting. They are "sweater-like" in texture, and usually have gaps between the yarn where one can see thru the afghan. Quilts are made by layering fabrics one over another, then sewing the fabric layers together by stitching all over the fabric. Quilts are usually made of cotton fabric, should be completely opaque, and should have visible stitches all over the surface.
