My God Jerry! Thanks! I'm invited to an afghan party next week, and I was going to bring a DOG!

Phew!

hahahaha!
In a nutshell, afghans are made of yarn, usually by the process of quilting
or crocheting. They are "sweater-like" in texture, and usually have gaps
between the yarn where one can see thru the afghan.

Quilts are made by layering fabrics one over another, then sewing the fabric
layers together by stitching all over the fabric. Quilts are usually made of
cotton fabric, should be completely opaque, and should have visible stitches
all over the surface.

There you go bruce.
