Is this an 860? I have one where the fuse has been blown as well. The solution in that case was a dual gang fuse holder which snaps onto the original (blown) fuse but also has parallel snaps for a new unblown fuse with some carboard insulating material (This was done by a previous owner/user). Apparently these clip ons were common "back in the day". Check Radio Shack.
