 Ernie Sample  replaced the Orange Drop
  capacitors with the NOS  red mylar capacitors . 

  John Haburay writes:
  They were not NOS red caps. He replaced old orange mylar with old red mylar. There should have been little to no difference in the sound at all good, bad or indifferent. A lot of work is about it. -John
