Don't know how one >should call this short chord hitting. Thank you Chris. That technique is not at all limited to squabbles. It's commonly used between phrases in all kinds of soloing. It's more obvious here because of the bigger difference in registration, and the subtlety of the performance. I call it "huffing," but I don't know what others call it, and my term certainly could be misconstrued, isn't that right kids? I have seen it called "popping," too.
