[HAM] scanner speed information..er...please?!?!

Dear hamsters. If I import a scanner from a 60hz country will it run 20% 
slower hooked up
to my 50hz rig??
PS, I'm so glad its not me being hauled over the coals by a member of this 
forum for a change.
