I remember reading or hearing somewhere years ago that the older B3
cabinets had more of a hump, bump, or whatever, than the later ones.

BTW, most guitar bodies are cut out by machine, then some machine
sanding, and quite a bit of hand sanding. 
That's the way Gibson does it anyway.
