[HAM] How hard would this be?

Yeah, didn't look anything like this thread's ebay pic (that's just a
regular ole single manual clone with trek preamp). I seem to remember
that it didn't seem much more portable than a console. I imagine the
only reason for it was to actually play a tone generator via midi.

The more you start thinking about it, the answer to the subject becomes
"a hell of a lot harder than buying a nice Hammond Leslie combo" - and
yes I am including any work/employment required to get you to the "able
to buy" stage.

Wasn't there someone several years ago that had a scanner/TG contraption
that could be driven from a midi keyboard...or at least claimed to?  I
remember seeing pix and he had a web page with a prototype.  But I don't
think he ever started producing them.
