I came up with an anology the other day, as I was discussing how 16 bit digital audio won over warm tube analog stereos and LPs.

If someone came up with a device as big as an iPod with a button on it. When you pushed the button it produced a digitized paper rain coat.
It would sale hand over fist, and replace effective robust rain gear. Even though the paper rain coats would be usless in a rain storm, at the end of the day
people are just easily dazzled and wowed, by ineffective parlor tricks.

I find my self asking "can you belive these things are worthless?" pretty regularly, when people play or hear my "L".
