For what it's worth- the reverb ampsAO 18 Watt Marshalls. My M-100 came without reveb amp and a speaker, removed for just such a person. I was able to play thru it and it sounded pretty good, although having never played thru an early Marshal (I was Fender guy antil I bought a Mesa). this is the guy thatmade the mods to it http://www.paulrubyamps.com/

in my case I found a replacement amp and I'm just about ready to put the Hammond back together for my studio.

Yes I did keep the spring tank. I was really amazed at how well the L's
amp/speaker combo sounded for guitar with very minimal modification. The
suitability of the setup for any particular guitar player is going to depend
alot on what features you expect from a guitar amp.

I'm very minimalist (as far as amp settings go) so the standard
treble/bass/mid controls are always at 12 o'clock - which means Im glad they
dont exist on the L amp. I'm probably over-opinionated, but I think that if
an amp doesnt sound good without a bunch of tone bending circuits, then it
just doesnt sound good.

I suppose the next step will be having a cabinetmaker help me transition
these wonderful guts into a better home. I'm thinking of suggesting to my
future cabinetmaker that they use wood from the organ cabinet. Save me some
materials money, with a plus of all that posterity and good stuff.
