I suppose this is true of most magazines that are reviewing the products made by their advertisers. I have no axe to grind with the new Leslie. Cheers, -cliff Most times in Keyboard Mag you will find a favorable write up on a product that has also advertised that month or in the past. They are not going to bite the hand that feeds them. The same way musicians are not going to say a product sucks when somebody is giving them free instruments to use. Always use your ears, try the product yourself and talk to people who have paid for the instruments they are using. Hype is a dangerous thing. Get your hands dirty, and also do footwork before you spend money for anything just because you read it is good. If you can't go and see these guys using these product, if they really are, try to contact them yourself. Advertising is just what it is. Advertising. Just because it comes in the form of a "product review", it is advertising none the less. I would like to read a review sometime about a product when the company did NOT pay the publication for an ad spot. Bet ya it would be a little "less" favorable. John www.HammondStore.com
