I see that no one has bothered to answer you. It's true that there's little 
if any info on this topic online. I have had one experience with this, and 
my answer is totally non-scientific. I grabbed onto the motor and bent its 
mounting into place. In that case, the TG housing was visibly bent.

What about using thin washers as shims? Maybe you could "write the book" on 
this topic for us.
