[HAM] Alignment of Start MotorGeorge Matthis gmatthis at bellsouth.netWed Mar 21 18:32:02 CDT 2007
Scott: My first thought was to bend the mounting area enough to fix it, then it occurred to me that if the metal is fatigued, it might crack while trying to bend it. I also saw where someone made a sort of brace to hold the motor in place. Didn't really like that solution. Your suggestion of washers has some possibilities. I might try to grind one on angle so as to create a wedge shaped shim. Will let everyone know what I do. I saw a thread from Dave Bishop back in January of this year that mentioned ideas for re-alignment of the start motor. Dave, are you out there? I need more ideas to play with!
