[HAM] Single louver horn compartment damping material?

David,

I have a 44w that is 99% original and mint.  It has horse hair batting.  It 
runs from the upper shelf to within 1/2 in of the bottom of the louvre 
opening inside.  It is brown, very coarse about 3/8 in thick and also on the 
rear panel cover.
