[HAM] Chopping Hammonds

I'd say weight issues are negligible - however I find it easier to move
the same amount of weight in a smaller more chunky consistent weight
density package (ie chop case) than in the original more unwieldy (for
carrying, lifting, flipping) original case.

Mine is a chop with pedals, the expression pedal is mounted in/on the
base unit, travel and height are EXACTLY as on console.

And it is as solid as any console. It would probably be easier to knock
down an A100 (or a wobbly legged B3) than my set up C3 chop. A C3
console might be a tie.

And btw... somebody else had seriously butchered the organ prior to it
coming into my possession :) Thanks to Bossorgan for saving this real
nice, late 50s wax cap C3!

I think the major issue in my own mind, is the expression pedal
modification, which seems to be required for any chopped
Hammond. I've played many, and felt very uncomfortable with whatever
substitute was installed.

Another facet which bothered me was the stand/legs/whatever. I felt
like I was playing a moving instrument on a keyboard stand - and I
missed the really solid feel of the stock, integrated case
