[HAM] Tannoy Monitor Silver as tone cabinet and Thomas CA cab

I took the back of the Leslie 147 amped home made cabinet that came
with my '37 BC and what do you know, not only does it have a Tannoy
crossover, but it has the matching 15" driver to go with it. Rated at
25W and good to 12kHz, is this considered a waste of a ridiculously
valuable (up to $2000 on eBay) hifi speaker or were these commonly
used as organ speakers in the 50s? I was thinking it might make a
good vocal PA amp.

The other cab is a Thomas CA "combination hifi tone cabinet" made by
Pacific Mercury Electronics with an up-firing Electrovoice SP12B 12"
and a weird looking totally enclosed 4" diameter forward firing
tweeter. The grill covers almost the entire front and wraps around
the sides but the tweeter's just at the very top middle. I wonder how
a foam Leslie rotor would sound on top of this.

If anybody has any information or recollections regarding these, I'd
be interested to hear them.

Thanks,
Hugh
