I haven't bought a new vinyl record in years. But I found this place, Dusty
Groove Records,
<http://www.dustygroove.com/> that has jazz records, and I got a Richard
"Groove" Holmes record I had never seen before, "The Groover," issued by
Prestige in 1968. It's in what they call "very good+" condition, and that's
no lie. $13.99 Here's a quick scan of part of the cover, in all its 1968 glory:

And the music is great! But as it turns out, I already have all of these
cuts on Holmes' "Legends of Acid Jazz," which is well worth having BTW. The
other record on that CD is "That Healin' Feelin," one of my very favorite
albums by Groove.

The other one I got, NEW and unopened for $8.99(!) is Leon Spencer's "Bad
Walking Woman" which contains the cut some of you were raving about, "Hip
Shaker." Haven't heard it yet....I'm puttin' it on now.....
