I had a 3-box (console-TG-amp) M3 chop (my first Hammond) that had these
kind of connectors for the TG wires. Secure connection, no hum.

Also for the record, chop away if that's the only way you can get tonewheels
to a gig. Schliecher, Harbury and countless others do quality work. It'll
save you room in the van or car and they're easier up a full flight of
stairs. No defense necessary.

BUT (to beat this fly-infested equine carcass a little further) they save
little weight, NO room on stage, (in fact some chops have a BIGGER footprint
because the TG is behind the manuals instead of under them), they take
longer to set up and usually require 2 people to do so.

It's not a "purist" or "anti" thing for me either. I just hear people
talking about going thru the expense and hassle of doing chops to solve
problems that don't require a chop to solve.

I like peanut butter and liverwurst on the same sandwich. But you don't
have to.

John (more opinionated lately)
