Hi David and everyone.
The hex head screws on the TG pickups of my 1962 C3 , my 1963 L-102 and
my late 60's or early 70's L-143 as well as my friend's 1959 C3 and
the other B3 / C3 / A100 / RT3 organs that I have come across all have
4 mm hex head screws and I use a 4 mm spanner or hex head tool when
recalibrating the TG pickups.
On the other hand the hex head screws on the TG pickups of my 1972
XTP organ and my friend's 1970 T-300 are 4.5 mm instead of 4 mm and
these 4.5 mm hex head screws seem to be made of a softer or a weaker
kind of metal or aluminium and the hex heads which are thinner ( than
the hex heads of the 4 mm screws of the other earlier era organs ) can
break off easily when the screw is tightened.
I had to replace a TG screw from the XTP and the T-300 with a normal
Phillips head screw because the softer metal hex heads broke off
these two screws when I was recalibrating the TG of the XTP and the
T-300.
All the best.
Kon
