[HAM] Un-Recapping

WARNING:  The following post contains comments regarding recapping a Hammond
Tone Wheel Generator.  Reader disgression is advised.

Not to start the controversy up again, but I found the results of this
project interesting.  A few years ago, I purchased a really nice, completely
rebuilt B3 circa 1962.  I loved everything about it except the sound.  Too
bright.  I discovered the genny had been recapped.  Recently, I came into
possesion of a complete set of red caps.  (NOS?)  Against my tech's better
judgement, we put them in this past Sunday.  Voila!  The organ now sounds
infintely better.  I really love it!  There doesn't seem to be any
appreciable difference in volume or timbre from note to note.

Maybe I just got lucky, but this might be my new favorite Hammond.  YMMV.
