[HAM] **SPAM(5.6)** Warbly tonewheel on a C2?

Hey list!

My recently acquired C2 has been performing perfectly, except that the
generator was just a bit louder than my C3. So I figured I'd oil it.
While I had the back off to oil the TG, there suddenly came a sound I
had NEVER heard a Hammond make before - a squealy grating sound. The
sound of unlubricated metal on metal. "Ironic timing," I thought, as
I finished oiling the TG. I assumed I had simply oiled it just in the
nick of time and it would be fine. Well, that was Monday. Today is
Friday, and the tube is still squawking away if I run the organ. I
finally determined that it's the lowest C with the 8' 'bar out. The
pitch warbles, but the wheel is turning at roughly the correct pitch.
What is going on? How long until oil gets to that tonewheel? Am I
gonna have to take out the TG to fix it? Could it be something other
than dry bearings? Thanks for any ideas!

Zach
