My guess is, it would probably DIMINISH the effect.  The chorus generator is
only chorusing the higher tones, and is not particularly pronounced to begin
with.  Chorus effect is dependent on the members of the chorus standing in
close proximity (i.e., coming out of the same speaker) to get your ear to
readily hear the difference between them.

It might have an "air-ier" sound, but also more transparent.
