Nice Video and I find his compositions interesting.. -----Original Message----- From: hammond-bounces at zeni.net [mailto:hammond-bounces at zeni.net] On Behalf Of Scott Hawthorn Sent: Thursday, November 15, 2007 10:55 AM To: The Hammond Forum Subject: [HAM] Bonow on Youtube - XK-1 Workout This time the Hammond player you love to hate is playing original tunes and lettin' his hair down. Backed up by his brother Tim on drums, just like in the really old days, these tunes rock, IMHO. The gig was in Seattle's famous Ballard area, home of Norm Peterson and stomping ground of Joe Doria. I did post MP3s of them recently that nobody listened to. :-) The interesting looking organlike structure just below the XK-1 was handmade by Dan, and is designed to hold his Fantom underneath the organ. The louvers were made out of molding pieces. We think it's cool as hell. Besides the custom re-built "monitor" Leslie underneath the organ, there's a 910 behind him, with custom bi-amps, plus a sub woofer. In these tunes, the bass and the extremely grungy EP sounds are coming from the Fantom. This music is fun, and seeing the performance helps illustrate the music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BMrnI2cEgM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUmRup80MOY -- Subscription Options/Unsubscribe/Archives: http://www.zeni.net/hf/ Hammond-Leslie FAQ: http://theatreorgans.com/hammond/faq/ HammondWiki: http://www.dairiki.org/HammondWiki/ hammond at zk3.dec.com archives: http://zk3.hammondforum.com/
