[HAM] TIME TESTED feat. Jackie Ivory

Organ master Jackie Ivory has a new unit here in South Bend, IN.  It's
called TIME TESTED, playing everything from Ellington to Smith/McGriff
et al. to Motown/Stax and beyond.  He's flanked by Billy Nicks on drums
(also in his seventies, like Jackie, and still a powerhouse) and Oran
'OJ' Johnson on Tenor.  Local favorite Priscilla Phillips sings the odd
set or two.  They perform at the Elks Lodge on Western Ave. every
Saturday from 5 to 8pm.  I had the good fortune to sit-in with them
tonight on guitar.  It was a tremendous honor to share the bandstand
with these lifelong players.  Anyone in the area should check them out.
$7 very well spent...
