I used that one on the tunes with the chorale as C3 warbles a little too much for my taste concerning the chorale. Sometimes I used C1....depended on the tune.....and I don't remember exactly which ones right now. I'll have to refer to the notes I wrote down before going in. There's plenty of stopped Leslie and C3 chorus on a good number of the other tunes, though, too. Funny that you mentioned Larry Young, because Young played on the "Remember" cut with Jimmy Forrest that inspired me to do the tune in the first place on the first CD, but I didn't really try to go that direction with that tune at the time, save for maybe giving a little nod to his squabbling chorus on that. > > Were these recorded in Tony's home studio? Yes, it was at Tony's and on the A-100 both times. That's the one I wanted to use. Had a choice of 3 there. His B3, A-100, or the new B3. You've really got sharp ears. I was pretty embarrassed when I got the results back from Tony's contest to "name the organ I played on these tracks to win an XK-3". LOL.....and darn. I still need to buy one of these for the blues gigs I do with a bass player. (Soul Satyr). Still take the big Hammond out on these jobs. Can't deal with playing the Kurzweil or Yamaha synth patches anymore in those situations and all the gigs have been on the first floor of the clubs, so I take the Hammond.
