2004 was probably right around the time they brought
out Version 2.0 of the CX-3 -- and two of the major
changes in that version were moving to waterfall keys
(as someone who owned both versions, I can tell you
it's no big deal, since the earlier diving board keys
had no sharp edges and were just fine for glisses and
the like) and a change in the chorus intensity (can't
remember whether Version 2.0 dialed it up or dialed it
down slightly). Either will be a huge improvement over
the vintage CX-3 you sometimes use.

I'd think a CX-3 with a Leslie would be plenty "good
enough" for your gig.
