[HAM] Outta tune?

OK....mentioned this before and did not see any comments. What is the
posted cycle(hz) of this organ? And as John just posted, it is indeed
possible to change the speed that the TG runs at, and have it continue
at that speed. That trick, however should have nothing to do with the
problem at hand. I also asked whether the organ had been in tune prior
to it's being out of tune now. I don't believe one stuck bearing would
change the speed of a generator sufficient to create this problem. The
start motor would have to be not getting the generator up to speed prior
to the run motor kicking in. If that is the case, then I would fault the
start motor. I have been involved with selling and servicing Hammond
since 1957, and have seen just about every conceivable problem these
organs are prone to, including a wrong tone wheel installed at the
factory. How long since it was oiled before the present oiling? Is the
shaft the clutch runs on to start the organ oiled and clean? Does the
bendix run smoothly? Are you using a count of 8 and then 4 after letting
go the start switch? Please give me an answer on these. Cheers, Doug
