Thanks, Daniel, that helped.  Pat's chart suggests that my problem tonewheel 
is frequency 39.  Does anyone know where I can look to ascertain where 
tonewheel 39 is physically located on the M3 gernerator?  M3s don't have a 
soldering tab strip like the console Hammonds, and they don't seem to follow 
any of the console TWG bin patterns.  If its on the side of the TWG near the 
keyboards, do I have to remove the TWG to work on it (opressive overkill), 
or is there a way to disassemble the M3 case to get at it from the top?
