[HAM] (UPDATED) OT: Traynor YGM-3 Guitarmate AmpDaniel Ramirez dramirez at rettew.comFri Apr 11 06:23:58 CDT 2008
I was playing around with it a bit yesterday and the arcing on pin 7 of the EL84/the blue wire of the transformer occurs when a loud note is sounded. It seems it can sit happy when there is little or no input signal, but when I hammer a low note, fireworks. I guess I'll order some new .1Mf 400V caps and see if that helps. -----Original Message----- From: hammond-bounces at zeni.net on behalf of Kip Amore Sent: Thu 4/10/2008 10:59 PM To: The Hammond Forum Subject: Re: [HAM] (UPDATED) OT: Traynor YGM-3 Guitarmate Amp I'm leaning toward power supply issues myself. Luckily, the Traynor is about as straitforward as it gets. In fact, armed with a schematic and a Mouser catalog, you could pretty much build another one. You can certainly "shotgun" components until you find the culprit. It's worth it, those are great amps. I believe Traynor eventually became Yorkville.
