[HAM] Shipping a LeslieBohachewsky, Andrew V. abohachewsky at draper.comFri Apr 11 07:59:36 CDT 2008
Bax gave me the best quote out of all the movers mentioned when I was looking to ship a console cross country. There's an ebay Hammond/Leslie seller (adickson) out of Colorado. Besides the fact that he usually has some very nice Leslie's and consoles available at fairly reasonable prices, he uses DHL to ship Leslies. The price of gas may have upped the numbers but about a year ago I had a quote from him, ~$275 to ship a Leslie Colorado to Boston if I could pick it up at a DHL hub, $50-75 more for residential delivery (plus his crating fee of ~$75). Another thing to note: when I was trying to arrange the console ship on my own the cheapest crating quote I found ($400+) was almost equal to the cheapest moving quote ($500+ from bax global I believe). Shouldn't be so bad with a Leslie. Andy -----Original Message----- You might also try any regular shipping company. Try Bax Global, or Eagle Freight.
