In the quest for a Leslie for the B3 that I got a great deal on, I've discovered every great deal comes at a cost. The B3 looks great, and needs a little work. A little work if you consider that a '59 Hammond really should have all of the electrolytics and quite a few resistors replace. Along with a few other things. I really like these projects so I really don't mind. Plus it gives me a chance to do more soldering than I've done in 25 years. Anyway, I digress. The B3 came with absolutely no speaker. I built a line out box and have it running through a bass amp right now just to get everything working, so I need a Leslie. Leslies aren't common up here in North Dakota so I'm going to have to go some distance to find one in good condition.

I just found a 251, recently serviced, the right wood, under 1000 miles from here :). According to the info on the Internet it looks like it's basically a 147 with reverb speakers on a second channel. I'll worry about the reverb speakers and second channel later (just pull the tubes). Is there any reason that it won't work with a B3? And, is there a Leslie Kit that's appropriate for the 251 to B3?

Thanks very much for the help.

P.S. I play everything from old Santana to J.S. Bach to Jazz. so the sound type really isn't an issue.
P.P.S. My wife thinks I've lost my mind and now almost has proof.
