I have one in a 760. Works pretty well, definitely warmed up the sound.
I haven't used it much in extreme distortion settings but you can get
into some real heavy overdrive sound with the unit, not useful if you're
playing the bass as well but if you're just holding the top down you can
get a real screaming distortion.

I did run into one issue that I've traced down and hopefully should be
able to solve. From day one at higher gain settings I was getting some
sort of microphonic resonance. I finally realized that the pitch of the
resonance was the exact pitch of the "ting" you get when you rap a
screwdriver on the 760's metal back panel (and man does that tube really
sing when you do that!). One solution might be to use some sort of
rubber standoffs when attaching the MIG to the crossover board. My other
idea is to use a bunch of that MoonGoo drummers use to suck up resonance
and stick it all over that metal back panel to damp its resonance.

Not quite the sound of overdriven output tubes... but generally pretty
nice sounding.

Anyone ever tried this unit, by the way? I would like to hear points of
view, if anyone has any..
