I did do that and really gooped a bunch of the stuff all over it, don't think it helped very much. It really is picking up the singing of that metal back panel. I've been slow delving into this as the singing is fairly low (unless you hit the Leslie or tap on the bottom back panel), and it's not my main gigging Leslie at the moment. Reading email does get the brain cells firing a bit sometimes... maybe a cross brace that attaches to the wood section, goes across the panel and presses down on it with some pads - sort of like a drum muffler - would do the trick? I will also post with any positive results. Despite the singing I think it is an improvement to the 760 sound. BTW, when talking about singing from that tube, I read the seller/inventors page up and down approx. 38 times. He actually added this, typed in red: Important - please read Under rough use (vibrations due to transport or high volume levels) you should secure the tube with a thick bead of silicone sealant to the MIG-L circuit board. This also minimizes microphonic effects. Silicone..they apparently do not get VERY hot, these tubes, since he recommended this? I do not know. Learning by doing, I will suggest. If noone has a better idea..
