Aaron was one of my students at St. Mary's Elementary School and is  
now a professional musician in NYC, a graduate of Julliard, and has  
played extensively with Wynton Marsalis among many others.

I can only take credit for pointing him to jazz artists and giving  
him tips on standards as he already had quite a musical vocabulary  
and great work ethic starting as early as the 3rd grade!

"Mrs. Dachtyl, do you know the bridge changes to Ipanema?"
I remember him asking this question after class one day. It was after  
a recorder class as I remember. Have to say it was much more  
interesting to answer this question than teaching, "Hot Cross Buns",  
but it's all good. ;-)

In return, he taught me a nice tag he came up with to "Satin Doll". :-)
