I'm ready to take this thread private after this-- I can't imagine what 
benefit it might have for the public at large. But yeah, right own. But we 
have to use what's available-- Dan wanted to and did build a studio in 
Seattle so he could use his favorite musicians. I'm an hour-and-a-half 
away, and eve worse, his BC is being store down here. What's really funny 
about this is that after we recorded this CD, the studio had to be ripped 
out; the house was a rental.

What's that mean? I've never heard the term.

Yup. I swear by it and I'm not a big fan of compression. And don't forget, 
a "clean sound" is not something Bonow places a high value on. His stuff is 
funky in the old-fashioned sense of the word.
