I played them all. As a piano tuner of profession, I’ve learned to listen. And it's not only about the sound. The action is also of great importance. And the best keyboard action I ever came across apart from the piano world is in Hammond 50’s heaven. There are lots of bits and pieces that maybe accidentally made the Hammond/Leslie-rig one of the most important instruments of our time. So be it! I love it! The digital world is the future. Welcome! And I mean it! But my task is trying to preserve these old electro-mechanically items as long as possible. And from a musician’s stand of view, the feeling is the utter most important thing! I’m sure many in this list feels the way I do... --- Scott Hawthorn <organfreak at donobi.net> skrev: > At 09:18 AM 2/1/2008, Ivar Berg wrote: > >Quote: “Decades ago stuff was built like a > brick > >outhouse (polite terminology). > >Today it's all lowest pricepoint possible.” > > > >It’s true.
