I am sure that many of the headliners would appreciate the  
consistency the new B3 could provide compared to some other vintage  
organs would present as to dead spots on drawbars, dead spots along  
busbars, etc.

I concur that some of the fixes that can be done for vintage organs  
are sometimes more doable than would be true of coming up with the  
right circuit board, etc. in current type instruments.

If you recall though- there used to be many more "TV repairmen" when  
we had tube type TVs. And I am pleased to say that when my TV quit  
once a year ago the local TV repairman  had it (transistor,etc. type)  
going again for $ 70. The last repairs I had on a VK7 were done, same  
day, soldering iron).

But we really don't have much choice in the matter. If I were buying  
a new pickup today the floor height, box height and sidewall height  
would be uncomfortably high in a 4WD by virtue of some designer  
hooked the whole industry on building the like that!
