Hi Nick and everyone. Brian Auger is a great Hammond player like Ken Hensley of Uriah Heep and Czeslaw Niemen from Poland who do not seem to be acknowledged as much or be as well known as Jon Lord and Keith Emerson. I also think that Brian Auger's organ tone would have been nicer if he had used the Leslie cabinets rather than the straight speaker cabinets. Here are some interesting old film clips of Brian Auger. The first three are with Julie Driscoll on 'The Monkees film called "33 1/3 revolutions per Monkee" : This is a psychotic freaked out psychedelic free for all version of "Listen to the band" and Buddy Miles also appears here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgpxTgOQN7o <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgpxTgOQN7o&feature=related> &feature=related Here is Mickey Dolenz and Julie Driscoll singing "I'm a believer" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzrR25une1E "Come on up" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnwTg5yzMp4 Here is Brian Auger and Julie Driscoll & The Trinity miming to "Indian rope man" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzvcGNOjLn0 Here is a live clip of Brian Auger and the Trinity from 1969 playing "Pavane" and "I just got some" . At around 8.57 you can see the annoyed expression on Brian Auger's face as he is struggling with the microphone stand that keeps swivelling away from him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W47sukTM8E <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W47sukTM8E&feature=related> &feature=related All the best.
