It sounds to me like the start motor gears aren't engaging. I had 2 M series organs that did this and both were easily fixed by cleaning and lubricating and I luckily didn't have to take the motor apart. I manually worked the shaft back and forth while applying WD-40 to the shaft. I'd do this for about 10 - 15 minutes, let it sit a day, and repeat for a few days. After that I'd try to wipe all the WD-40? off that I could, then a few drops of Hammond oil on the shaft and work it in and out. It worked for me. -----Original Message----- From: Schoem Scott <schoemgroove at yahoo.com> To: hammond at zeni.net Sent: Mon, 4 Feb 2008 6:16 pm Subject: [HAM] m111 just got an m111 for $100. It seems to be in beautiful condition, however, i can't get any sound out of it. I was told it was working before i moved it and have no reason to believe otherwise. all tubes are lit, but when i lift the start lever, it only buzzes. haven't fully researched it yet and i know a shop nearby that could repair it, but i'd like to try to remedy this myself. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
