It is a freebie but, unlike Hotmail, it's very well coded and you can send 
attachments and links without any problems. Used to be that you had to be 
invited there by another user, but now it's open to everyone. And the 
storage space is unlimited, so, as they advertise, you'll never have to 
delete another e-mail.
