Dave and Andy, Good point, OTOH, I would have to assume that any web-mail server is going to have copies of your mail on board. That's why I don't really use my Gmail account for everyday stuff; I use a real ISP with a real e-mail program (anything bout Outlook is good). If you want free e-mail this is a tradeoff you'll have to make. If you are going to use it for list mail that hundreds get to read anyway, then I say, why not? If I have any private info I don't post it onto these lists, uh, I mean, usually.... I *do* use my Gmail whenever a website demands my address before letting me sign up for stuff, and I can safely say that I get almost no SPAM based on Gmail or what I type there. While their terms-of-service are admittedly hazy, I tend to trust them because of their heroic refusal to furnish data to the government on demand, under severe pressure. Their "hearts" are in the right place. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Version: 7.5.516 / Virus Database: 269.19.20/1260 - Release Date: 2/5/2008 9:44 AM
