Thanks for the response and the link. Besides being extremely talented she has the luxury of a skinnier foot than mine and she's not wearing tennis shoes. I wonder how she would play in street shoes? Thanks again ------------------------------------------------------ From: Leo Bynum I believe that Barbara Dennerlein changes which part of her foot she uses depending on if it's a reach to the left or to the right. Have a look at the video at www.barbaradennerlein.com -----Original Message----- From: BO I'm starting to try to learn how to play the pedals. I have a couple of beginner books that I'm working out of. They don't mention what part of the foot I should have in contact with the pedals. I've found that using the bottom left edge of the ball of my left foot is the best way that I can keep from playing more than one note at a time. Is this acceptable or should I work at using the middle of the tip of the toe? I don't want to start a bad habit that might hinder me as I try to advance. Any advice? Thanks, Brent Owen
