Virgil Fox. That's the name that was on the tip of my tongue in a recent conversation. I saw Mr. Fox at Wolf Trap in '74. Check the thesaurus for phenomenal for a start to the superlatives that fit his performance. He channeled Bach, man. The cat played Dance ala Gigue on pedals. My calves ached hearing it. Thanks for jogging my memory banks. --armond ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Sat, 16 Feb 2008 04:55:33 -0800 From: joe d <joedoria at hotmail.com> Subject: Re: [HAM] pedal technique To: The Hammond Forum <hammond at zeni.net> Message-ID: <BAY140-W347C0C05D81B2C78EC831FDE270 at phx.gbl> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" To whomever posted the Virgil Fox youtube link, thank you very much. Just incredible (dug deeper into the youtoob bach pieces from him, it's just ridiculously beautiful). http://youtube.com/watch?v=jJMtF9EP0VU&feature=related http://youtube.com/watch?v=pX2VPgOpX_Y&feature=related http://youtube.com/watch?v=0gRBCAdC7wI&feature=related http://youtube.com/watch?v=9tEw7W8tfFw&feature=related http://www.joedoriamusic.com http://www.myspace.com/joedoria http://www.myspace.com/mctuffmusic http://www.myspace.com/lastmilemusic
