I've recently got a similar setup going at work. We went from an
overnight backup on tape cartridge to making two duplicates of the
server hard drive in less than 20 minutes. It's ridiculous how fast the
technology has advanced and how much bang you can get for your buck
storage space wise. The tapes we used to use were 20 gig. Now we have
x2 300 gig hard drives that cost less than all the tapes we used to lug
around. I'm not all that old (relatively speaking of course), but I'm
starting to feel like I should be on the front porch in the rocking
chair talking about punch cards.

Regards,

Charles.

P.S. Scott, with all respect it is "Acronis" (I know, the "c" is really
close to the "s" on the keyboard). :-P
I had a hardware issue with this program and had been in contact with
their technical support over the last few weeks. To rule out some stuff
they asked me to download the trial of a later version than the one we
were using. One of the tests I was asked to do required the full
version of the software. They actually sent me the license code for the
full version at no charge on the honour system (i.e. please uninstall
when done or purchase the program) Contrary to a lot of feedback I had
read on their tech support forum, I was rather pleased with the overall
service. Good customer service is often hard to come by these days.
(there I am again on the porch)
