You weren't rude. That's more in my department. All seriousness aside, 
you've hit the nail on the head. Even though the Trek-II unit sounds just 
fine, I have the same problem with it. On a product-comment card that came 
with one, that's given to technicians, I did write a request to add an 
on/off switch. We shall see.
