I don't know if you are refering to my method (where I use both, the
old busbars and the M3 ones).

As fas as I recall, the M3 spaces have different holes and theses spacers
are made of a very unstable plastic rather than the old bakelite ones.

When you are trying to drill up the holes of the newer ones to make
the mounting screws go fit you will very quickly run out of usable pieces
since they break in your hands. At least this happened to me.
