As far as I know use the B2 transformer.  Forget about the resistor -
you will end up shorting it out anyway because you will hate the
volume drop.  This is the resistor that gets shorted out by the switch
under the B preset key.

They are different, smaller.  Both sound good.  I'm not sure I would
bother using the new one since the large box is already hooked up.

You might consider replacing the caps in the line box if they are old
wax ones.
